Dips and Scrubs for External Infections Use dips and topical scrubs to disinfect koi and goldfish.  Use on fish with ulcers, infections, mouth rot, fin rot, and eye infections.  Dips are very effective for ulcer disease and eye infections.  Scrubs are best to use if you can handle the fish.  Our favorite dip is Tricide-Neo and our favorite scrub is Lil' Dabado.

Water Treatments for Bacterial Diseases Water treatments for the entire pond or quarantine tank to treat bacterial diseases or to reduce the amount of bacteria in the water.  FuBa Fix has the advantage of treating bacteria and fungus.  Melafix is best used for repair of torn fins or fin rot.  BGDX is used for Bacterial Gill Disease.

Parasite Treatments Parasitic infestation is, by far, the most common koi and goldfish health problem and responsible for instigating secondary problems such as ulcers. There are basically two different types of parasites and each type is treated with different medications.  If in doubt as to which type to treat it's best to treat for both.  The Parasite Pak covers both types and takes the guess work out of parasite treatments.

Antibiotic Food Getting the antibiotics into the fish can be troublesome.  If they will eat you can get the medication inside them by feeding them antibiotic food.  The Pond Doc's own blend of FOUR (not three) antibiotics in his Triple Antibiotic Food will attack just about any infection known to koi or goldfish.
